Would have been alright a couple of years ago but not now.
He seems designed specifically for big European games. Can't imagine he'd
be any use if you were chasing a game against Blackburn or West Ham etc.

Gattuso is the answer to all our problems, or at least he was when he was in his prime. He's 30 and they want more than £10M for him. How old was Keane before he started to slow down and injuries started to catch up with him? Not much older. I don't want him if we'll get 1 good season from him and they he's either coming back from injury or he's unable to play twice a week.

too many ageing midfielders living of reputations as it is.

Physically he's fine, only 30. Don't want him though should be looking elsewhere if a midfielder is on the agenda. Won't be happy if Veloso rolls in either, too slow for me.

Scholes will probably still be around for another 12months, which is fine. Just so long as he doesn't start those games where he's pressed hard and denied time/space.

..but we should've bought him 2 years ago when they were all leaving on a free during to the Firesale.

His wife's Scottish and he speaks English, well so there'd be none of this period of having to get his feet under the table.. he's a born winner and exactly what we've been missing, ie some serious muscle in midfield..

Sure he's 30.. but so £#%&!ing what.. Why does every purchase have to be for a 20 year old under the rather naive misconception that they're going to be with us for 10 years or so.. He comes, does a job for 2-3 years and then leaves...
