I know this thread wont apply to most "new" fans but my worst experience was a FA cup replay in 1978 against WBA.

We lost 3-2.

Derby away in the cup in 83. I literrally travelled 10 yards without touching the ground. It wouldn't happen now

Outside the Stretford before the Liverpool game about 84 ish - finished 1-1 and 57,000 or so were there. It wasn't ticket only and we got there well in advance. One by one the turnstiles closed ( Scoreboard Paddock, United Road ), them someone said they were still letting them in in the Stretford... absolute chaos. I could lift me feet up off the ground. Never did get in, and there were absolutely thousands locked out who hung around for most of the game.

FA Cup Semi V Oldham at Maine Road 1990. The year after Hillsborough. The Kippax was horrendous.

Getting out of the away end when "Fergie's Fledglings " salvaged a draw at QPR - you exited the away end down a narrow alleyway. Horrendous.

Love the walk from Darwen in to Blackburn. It's like a live action version of the early parts of the evolutionary process.
