Default Exec member list leaked

United Supporters for Change (USC) is a non-violent direct action group committed to the removal of the Glazer family from Manchester United Football Club and their replacement with owners who wish the club to be first and foremost a sporting institution run in the interests of the supporters.

USC is unconnected to and unaffiliated with any other supporters’ groups and neither acts nor speaks for them. USC is prepared to push the boundaries of the law when engaging in peaceful resistance to the Glazers, but rejects all violence. Our cause is right and violence or intimidation belittles it.

USC today released the following statement:

“Press release

With the assistance of senior employees of MUFC who oppose the Glazer family’s asset stripping of our club, we are today publishing an edited list of the more than 400 companies which have hospitality facilities at Old Trafford. We have removed any information about individuals at these companies in order to protect their privacy and we have deliberately not published (and will never publish) the names of 800 individuals / single person businesses who have hospitality facilities. We are making this list public in order to encourage these organisations to recognise their unique position and responsibilities at this crucial point in MUFC’s history.

Executive and hospitality income represents around half of all “Matchday” revenue at MUFC. This gives the companies on this list huge potential influence over MUFC and its current owners. As the list shows, the great majority of companies with facilities at Old Trafford are from the north-west, they are essential parts of our community, providing employment and driving our economy. We believe the vast majority of the individuals who purchase these facilities for their companies or who use them are supporters of MUFC and wish the best for the club. We are sure
that they, as much as normal match going supporters, are sickened by the asset stripping of MUFC by the Glazer family and wish to see the club return to being an efficient commercially run sporting organisation.

As MUFC’s corporate supporters will be aware, a group calling themselves the “Red Knights” have stated that they hope to make an offer for MUFC after the end of the season. USC does not give unconditional support to the Red Knights and will not give such support until the details of their proposals can be reviewed. USC is however encouraged by the Red Knights’ statements about putting supporters at the heart of MUFC and has heard positive feedback from supporters who have met with senior people from the Red Knights group.

USC therefore strongly encourages the companies on this list to withhold any decision on renewing their facilities at Old Trafford until the Red Knights have made their offer and (assuming it is a significant improvement on the current owners) the Glazers have entered into negotiations with the Red Knights. USC believes the companies on this list should recognise their wider responsibility to the people of Manchester and the north-west and that they should encourage MUFC’s owners to engage with the Red Knights or other potential bidders who wish to end the exploitation of MUFC.

USC also encourages the employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders of the companies on this list, as well as the recognised supporters’ groups and the wider supporter base to peacefully push these organisations to act as good corporate citizens and responsibly exercise their power over MUFC and the Glazers in the way we suggest.

Statement ends.”

Good on all the lads involved. It's about time a group of fans with %@#$&!s got involved in the dirty side of things.
This is'nt to say that I think MUST are doing a bad job. I think they've done a great job so far, I just think it'll take more than the nicely nicely approach to get rid of these £#%&!ers.

Top idea this, now I know exactly where to apply for a job that'll get me freebies.

Seriously though, good idea in principle.

Are we all entitled to have a go in this one considering we're the ones footing the bill?
