Won't play on Saturday will he?

Apparantly it depends on results this week. If Portugal get a point against Finland then Serbia are out and might not ask for Vidic to play in a dead match.

I see. I wasn't aware of that.

We should be able to cope without him at Bolton.

VDS's foot injury has resurfaced again too.

Has it? Reported yesterday that VDS has an agreement with Holland that he'll only play in meaningful games and therefore won't play mid week. Thus he's returned to Carrington.

I think he's needed at Bolton to be honest as i get the feeling Ferdinand doesn't like playing against Davies. Nobody does though to be fair.

Really?

I just saw on SSN this morning that he had a recurrence of his foot injury and won't feature. It was only one line on the little vidiprinter bit, mind you.

Why the hell hasn't he retired from Int football anyway?

He's 58 ffs

They'd put Wes on Davies I'd think.

I'd be happy enough with that i think.

I don't know why this is because he's really not very good but the @#%&! scares me everytime we play them.

He's a tough awkward player to play against but I wouldn't say he scares the shit outta me. We're going into this game pretty well rested in the main so should win imo.

Pique's sporting a lovely beard atm.

Loon is Evra.

I see, well I'd be happy with that, though Evra should of course be referred to by his proper name. The Senegalese Superman. Can't see Portugal not getting a point anyway so Vidic may well be available ahead of Pique.

Very true. However if he isn't, and if Pique is now 3rd choice CB, leave Wes where he's doing a very good job. Pique needs to play in these sort of games when the chance arises because he needs the experience.

FWIW I'd keep him in for the Lisbon game too. Rest one of Rio or Vidic.

I'd like Vidic in tbh as Davies tends to play somewhere on the right and I'd like Vidic there so that he can't take advantage of the Superman's lack f height.

Evra will be fine, he's no soft touch and can handle his own in the air now.

I'd prefer Vidic to play but if he isn't a good opportunity for Pique.
