Football OFFICIAL: West Brom v Manchester United|Premier League|17.12.2017|14.15|Sky Sports

A Christmas feast of football for the eyes. Two effervescent attacking footballing sides face off in a true contest of footballing beauty. One for the purists, to be sure.

No player has ever scored a hatrick in the same Premier League fixture for both teams, but explosive Romelu Lukaku has the chance to become the first today. He scored in the 5-5 draw here for the home side in May 2013, and now turns out for the visitors, having already scored 14 in 23 since joining.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic rocked up to this stadium last season on 14 goals, and scored two as United won. Inspiration for Red Rom perhaps.

[SIZE="5"]TEAM NEWS

Despite an impressive performance last time out, Luke Shaw may drop to the bench today, and be given another 90 in midweek against Bristol City.

Rojo could return from a gash, and Herrera should start in place of The Scottish Player.

Rashford looked lively off the bench in midweek and may have done enough to start ahead of Martial, who may switch to the other flank to accomodate him.

Jesse Lingard will probably start. Half a billion spent and he's our best player at the moment. Wow. Just wow.

For the Baggies, Gareth Barry should return, but Matt Philips and Craig Dawson remain doubts. Nacer Chadli and James Morrison definitely miss out.

0-1 (Smalling)

90 minutes of turgid shite with West Brom playing their collective balls off.

Manchester United want to bring defender Jonny Evans back to Old Trafford, two and a half years after selling the 29-year-old to West Brom - but Manchester City and Arsenal are also interested.

Both teams will park the bus. "Happy to get a draw against a dangerous side with ambitions to make the top 17. Clear penalty denied when one of their players handled the ball in the area. That's right the one wearing the green shirt."

Starting with West Brom today, United have 7 league games before they have to face a "decent" side, which is Tottenham away.

We could be looking at 7 wins on the spin I reckon. Then as usual it all comes crashing down as soon as they have to play against a decent side.

Heard the vermin are sniffing as well. Since when was Jonny 」#%&!ing Evans hot property

Then again the prospect of him facing Lukaku used to be terrifying, and now... it still is
