Default Diving bans

sounds like it has some support.
It will be interesting to see how they define a dive, 'contact' of any sort now seems to make collapsing acceptable

Diving bans: Football Association expected to approve retrospective action

Rashford to be banned for Swansea theatrics

It seems like it's mostly gonna be used on penalty decisions but what about Sanchez the other week holding his face, will they be picking up on shit like that?

I think they need to specifically target pretending to be injured, as distinct from falling a bit easily to win a pen. Not that that's excusable in itself, just that clutching your face and screaming is such a comically obvious attempt to get an opponent sent off I can never understand why refs let it go.

Sanchez did it twice in a minute against Leicester.

not sure how you can punish that. He posted a pic of a scratch on his lip so technically he could say he's just extremely weak.

same goes for almost the entire madrid squad.

The one that always rankles me was £#%&!ing Vardy last season, Clattenburg's inconsistency in the space of 2 seconds.
Vardy body checks Rafael off the ball, no foul, then puts the brakes on to elicit some contact as Rafael chases him and flings himself to the floor, penalty.

A cut lip doesn't even make my 2 year old fall over. Just say any player who falls down holding their face has to leave the field of play for 5 full minutes and be examined by a burly female Russian nurse.

I saw 4 articles online about this today and all of them showed Rashford v Swansea as their example. It's £#%&!ing pathetic.

So basically you should take the career ending kick rather than avoiding it and falling over.

Shit idea. Very vague and subjective issue.

Give more penalties for shirt pulling and when players try to stay on their feet.

It won't stop players diving.

How will this work?

If a players gets booked for diving, this then gets reviewed and a player gets a ban. If so this then opens up all yellow cards to be reviewed

Or just the 'talking points' from Super Sundays.
