Denial of reality is sad to see, but it’s happened virtually every season since fergie retired. The league is not a snapshot until the 90th minute of the 38th game; until then it’s an ever changing, ever evolving mish mosh. Anyone who can’t see that our trend line is awful just doesn’t want to.
As things stand it will likely be City top, Spurs second, Liverpool third and us and Chelsea battling it out for fourth. At Christmas we were 10 points clear of them, now it’s 4. They are in better form and just played us off the park. We have problems all over the pitch, on and off it it seems. No one (maybe Goth) wants it to be this way, it just is. |
