He was excellent today, not been playing that great before today but it’s okay to say how well he played today without agendas/pre-conceived opinions.

I like the lad tbh, think he’s done well this season and has probably been our most consistent player.

Get Chillwell in and make him compete for his spot though, too many players guaranteed of their places.

Shaw is one of two or three players who should probably be in our starting XI next season. So to prioritise his back-up / competition over the 8 new first teamers we need, although honourable on your part, should not be our priority.
