that's how I see it.
I think he has made poor choices when signing for clubs in terms of their ability as a team, continuing in Italy for the majority when his level of performance was much greater and he most definitely should have achieved more.

Are there specific instances to which you refer?

Pirlo is lazy. Riquelme is lazy. Zidane was lazy. OK he's no Zidane, no Pirlo either. But I'm glad there's room in football for players like Berbatov, and wish there wasn't for cloggers who make up for a lack of talent by running and kicking people.

Yeah he's brilliant to watch playing for another team, but i wouldn't have him playing for us. You have to be exceedingly gifted like those you mentioned (and others) to be worthy of a place in a top team, he's not at that level for me. His brilliance isn't consistent enough i don't think.

Well that and he's just short of a goal every two games for them.

Agreed. I do enjoy watching him though, especially in a game like that one the other day, when so many others out there were ordinary.

Sad fact is there are so many ordinary players filling up the league, his ability to do something out of the ordinary makes him even more watchable in the hope he does something.

classic berbatovism.

He's a class footballer tnqat but he's not someone you'd want in your team. Once again, if you picked a hundred different "best of" teams he'd barely feature.

A goal every two games is a very decent return.

Not good enough for United, yeah, but - well, the old United, at least.

He's scored 18 in 49 games and 3 in 14 this season.

There are a thousand footballers who play every day who couldn't dream of a touch like that, it barely moved an inch off his toe
Unbelievable skill
