many argued that the bond document was a license to use the club's cash directly to pay down the pik

we need to wait and see whether or not that being written into the bond agreement was as it should be, a mere safety net, or whether they draw on it for similar purposes as per the doom scenario. course, it might turn out long term that it'll be for bonuses.

be that as it may, the debt payments last year had nothing to do with the piks, nor would next year's. at best, paying off the piks has avoided potential debt catastrophe in 2017 or whenever. it certainly hasn't reduced the burden in any way.

i hate journalists. i may have mentioned it at some point.

Not sure if I've mentioned it but I play football at a decent level and I get paid cash in hand
