What a performance from The Monster. All the qualities you'd want in an attacking midfielder - running around, kicking the ball, having a giant neck that's wider than his head, running around some more. Phenomenal. That £26m is looking like better and better value every day.

Some world class running around and kicking the ball from the boy Milner tonight. The French couldn't get near him, or perhaps he couldn't get near the French; either way, he was definitely running around and kicking the ball.

Was he ever actually that good? Or could SAF have got more out of him if he had moved to United instead??

I thought the French did well to nullify the obvious threat he provides tbh.

Yeah, obviously not a fan

Didn't he score a wonder goal against us once when he was at Newcastle?

You're talking about the man who completely outshone Rooney from an early age.

This fat Scouser comes on the scene and scores a fluke goal and everyone is raving about him, youngest goalscorer in Premier League history, the saviour of English football...yadda yadda yadda. Then, a few short weeks later the true Monster was unleashed and within a matter of minutes, the fat young Scouser and his record were forgotten.

Shrek set the bar, and the Monster destroyed it.

Spot on. Not sure what RIC is playing at, to be honest.

He is a Villa player at best. He's a good top 6 player in the Premier League, yet when City bought him you'd think they'd signed a world class player.

You could apply this statement to Barry, Lescott, Bridge, Milner, Given...

Exactly.

They've signed top 6 players, that's why they'll probably only get 4th because Spurs are dropping points and Liverpool are shit.
