eh? you are arguing in circles sparky. no-one said messi has been shit (he hasn't) for not scoring goals. it was you who put him alongside rooney and torres (who have been shit, regardless of goals or how many players they have/haven't beaten).

can we not just agree that:
a. rooney had a very bad tournament
b. he is much better than these past four games have suggested
c. he is not as good as messi, regardless of either of their world cup performance

really not that complicated.

edit: And if the level is so low, then you would think the european stalwarts would be waltzing through the tournament. but yet they are struggling!!
