Another thing to keep in mind, if you will, is the fact that these players must have absolutely next to no motivation - they're shit, their teammates are bang mediocre and where's the incentive to do well? they're already millionaires, they won't win the league, so why not just do the bare minimum? It's the problem with the huge wages - it makes it hard to motivate players who know despite their best efforts, they will not really achieve much. Wouldn't be upset to see them fall further... |
