It doesn't apply, never has.

There are four CL places, will go to the league; three Europa places, one of which always goes to the league. The FA Cup winner will be either us except we SHOULD be in the CL, so sixth - or Chelsea, who will probably be fifth, so sixth... the league cup place was the berts but they're already in the CL, so seventh.
