I remember all the seasons when an injury to Giggs £#%&!ed us and left us with no-one on the left. Even after Blomqvist left it took us until Park/Nani arrived to replace him and his effectiveness on that side. The lack of that player has cost us big time before and since the treble season, no question. I think '98-99 and '07-08 were the only 2 seasons when we have truly had a decent quality replacement in every position, and it showed. |
