I was getting mildly optimistic but actually seeing that squad has brought me back to reality.

Looking at that squad on paper, it’s so painfully obvious that we need a top centre-back, two first-team central midfielders (a 6 and an 8), and a top-class, experienced striker.

Even then we’re only getting close to top 4, and nowhere near a title challenge.

Staggering that we STILL apparently aren’t any closer to signing a centre back.
