2 goals in the 4 quarter finals, it's tedious in the extreme. Going straight to penalties at 90 minutes is helping defensive teams.

Dominated the match despite the horrific state of the pitch. Brazil hanging on for the 1-0 from HT, 25 minutes of pressure and they break and score, stonewaller not given either. A nice touch that Jesus and Firmino combined for one last kick in the %@#$&!s to a season I thought had ended with Liverpool winning their 6th European cup.

On the bright side this failure of a golden Argentina generation have at least managed to turn up at club level with Messi and Aguero inflicting additional misery on me.

Why is there no consistency with when this tournament is held? It's on again next summer.

They are getting around to it, 2016 was a one off for the centenary edition. In addition they are going to sync up to the Euros but had already committed to the 2019 edition when they decided to switch. Also if you are looking for things to make sense you are looking at the wrong continent.
