As of last season, the Premier League have allowed clubs to have a second shirt sponsor displayed on the left sleeve of the kit. Many clubs pounced on this straight away with Everton signing a deal with Angry Birds, City signed with Nexen etc...
United didn't add one but it seems they are close to agreeing a £10m deal with a manufacturing company based in Germany: Kohler. This deal matches the current record (Nexen with City).
The popular social news aggregation website Reddit has many 'subreddit' dedicated to our beloved Manchester United. One such subreddit (reddevils) featured a post 7 days ago where the poster stated that we were in talks with Kohler (way before the media got a whiff of it) and the same poster also claimed that we will be signing the French international player Antoine Griezmann who currently plays for Atletico Madrid (current Europa League champions).
The poster claims that the information regarding Greizmann comes from the commercial discussions surrounding the Kohler sponsorship deal. Presumably the club are waiting for the new home shirt and the sponsorship to be announced so that Griezzman will be seen in said shirt when he is unveiled. This is expected to happen around July 18th.
HTH.
