We'd probably be the holders of the Prem and CL trophies right now had we rewarded Louis for the first trophy of the post-Fergie era with a new contract rather than the sack

Yup. Wanted him to be the best version of Louis. Balls out on the training field. Team of 12 yr olds conquering Europe.

Trouble is, he actually was a dinosaur.

Yep, I agree with that, we handled it very badly.

It was embarrassing and more like a Citeh trait than something we would do.......I remember Mark Hughes stood on the pitch while Mancini was signing his contract at Citeh. Bloody hell, that was classless.

3 x 30+ players in the 2016 starting line up, only 2 in this years final despite a fair few of the same squad aging a couple of years.
