This is so true; the stats are overwhelming even adjusting for advanced age.

This is why I walked out on a 25 year career a few years back to start my own business. I wasn’t going to have some corporate pen pusher tell me when it was time to die.

Why don't they give any official word on this? I understand no details but just something saying he's left hospital etc and is doing well, rather than shitty insiders from the sun.

There was a bloke at work who joined at 18 and retired at 65. 2 months later he was brown bread. He only retired because at that point it was compulsory.

Thing is though does this suggest retiring is dangerous or suggest that you should retire as early as possible so you have time to enjoy it?
