If they were playing Barcelona or Real Madrid tonight, the tickets would be £50+ with no second thoughts for the kids. I'm sure they are priced between £10 & £20 anyway?

The reason city are practically giving tickets away is because it looks embarrassing for them when they are shown all over the world now, knowing that when United play, the stadium is sold out. They are so desperate to become us, put one over us or whatever, they will do anything they can. And if they means practically giving tickets away, they'll do it.

And the embarrassing thing for them will be a load of empty seats on international TV again, because despite the owners 'well meaning' virtually free tickets, no £#%&!er wants to go because they're not relevant

£#%&! off city
Correct.

Hmm. I hear you but I can't remember the last game at OT I went to other than derbies or v the scousers where there weren't plenty of empty seats. If united make any effort whatsoever to engage the local community or the less well off then it has completely passed me by.

But what efforts do United make when it isn't?

Hopefully I'm seeing problems where there aren't any but I'm paranoid about City stealing a march on us. If we did those prices for our next boring cup match then it'd be . Even more so if United made a big deal of it for some positive PR for once.

I agree we should make games like Burton more attractive/cheaper to families etc, nqat. We still pulled in 50+k for it despite tickets being more expensive, so not sure the club are that arsed at the minute unfortunately.

We still sell out for most league games, and hard to spot plenty of empty seats in those tbh. It's exactly why Ste typed out above, it's in no way city giving something back- it's to not embarrass their shite support levels on a European stage.

Dont League Cup ticket prices have to be agreed with FL amd opposition. Maybe Burton wouldn't want to dilute their payday.

That or United are greedy.

Either way, arsed on citeh.
