One of my good mates is a Leeds fan. He is bitter as £#%&! when it comes to football and United in particular but he's a really good lad that aside. He used to be much worse than he is now tbf as he has been living abroad for several years but he is a massive £#%&!ing abu and it all comes out when you get him riled up.

Knows his footie as well tbf, but really gets going when it comes to United. He was absolutely euphoric during the Moyes era though which was bloody annoying. Loved the old "agent Moyes" bants

"Leeds United have bought back their Elland Road home, 13 years after being forced to sell it to reduce debts.

The Championship club sold the ground on a lease back deal in November 2004 after relegation from the top flight.

Owner Andrea Radrizzani said: "Today is an important day in our history and a proud day for me and my team."

Do people from any other county go on about their county as much as Yorkshire people do?

Good for them. hope they get back to the prem, great fixture. Still can't believe (and relieved as £#%&!) they haven't been taken over by some mega rich outfit, only major city with just the one club and giant feeder area of yawkist swine, massive potential.

The league has looked odd to me in recent years. Looking at last years table, and beyond Everton the rest of the clubs are those I expect to see in the relegation zone. Grew up with Leeds, Villa, Newcastle, Sheff Wed, Blackburn, in that middle tier, Cyclical nature of the game I suppose.

They have quite a few non-local fans, actually. Many fit the bill in the other respects you mentioned, though.
