Sometimes a change of club is all that is needed to get back that what you had already shown.

Of course, I remember us signing Garry Birtles so I also know the opposite also applies...

A great Utd player, but he stopped the progression in our style of play. Utd should never be about feeding one striker, threats from everywhere, and every player being able to contribute in terms of creating and scoring goals.

I doubt we would have been as successful with RVN in the team this year. No way to prove it beyond doubt, or to disprove it.

Overall goal totals are better this year for Utd, and lower for Madrid.

Spot on. How anyone can argue otherwise is beyond me, it really is.

Ruuds a £#%&!ing plodder

He is a legend but Fergies proved once again he knows when to let players go, Ruuds ego was getting to big for the club and i'm glad he left.

Spot on Rodders.

Fergie's vision for the team and judgement is second to none.

Hang on a minute, haven't we played some of our best football with balsawood man out ???

And didn't we get "plodder" Larsson in ???

And aren't we playing the equally immobile and less capable Smith up front ???

Our worst football of the season came with Larsson up front. As for Smith he is willing and will challenge for aerial balls and generally attempt to occupy the defenders and make space for the more gifted players.

RVN seemed to think that challenging for a ball in the air was beyond him last season.
