I almost feel sorry for them.

I don't though

What a good finish from Messi. He's had a £#%&! all all night, but he dispatched that like a ..... dispatchery thing.

Cesc never had legs but he hasn’t aged well has he? Played alright but not the most mobile player

Maybe if that silly little Italian @#%&! in charge of Chelsea had shown a bit more maturity and composure his team might’ve reflected that.

Instead it was headless chicken stuff at the back

Little bit of a let-off for Barca really. Still it's a good sign when you aren't that great and still get good results away from home in Europe.

Been meh for most of 2018 yet a decent away result in the cl, in the copa del rey final and 20 odd pts clear of real in la liga. Shambles.

Can see all the other english sides knocking barca out come quarters/semis tho tbh. Seem quite ordinary.

Is this the most wide open CL for years?

Juve, Barca, Real, not quite what they were, hard to tell with Bayern.

Had Heynckes' Bayern as my favourites once they binned Ancelotti. Crazy squad. He'll know what to do come the quarters/semis. Rest a bunch of lads since the league is wrapped up too.

Bayern only ones id genuinely fear in the quarters imv.

I'd never call a side with Messi ordinary tbh. Not sure others would shut them out as well as Chelsea did tonight.

We'd be a danger on the break but no way we reduce them the way Chelsea did. Same for Liverpool, City. And Chelsea in the second leg.

Getting Dembele fit would be a help for them, they are a little short on goal threats outside the front 2, and surprisingly Paulinho.

Can absolutely see chelsea banging them 2-2 in the nu cramp.

Barca not that freescoring in 2018, many other sides kept them quiet for long periods in games. As tibs says, just boring to watch.

So crucial when you dominate the ball the way they do with patience that you have the guy good in one-v-one situations to change the pace and take defenders out of their shape. Neymar was an unexpected loss there and Dembele being young makes it a bit of a transitional period.

Could well be lining up next season with Coutinho, Dembele and Griezmann. Tonight they looked a little too reliant on Messi.

They're not as attacking as they used to be. Part of the reason I make them favourites. Can grind wins as well as just out-football sides.

Also think if you judge any side by their big-game CL knockout ties, very few come out entertainers. Madrid in recent years certainly not.

Barca got a valuable draw tonight despite not playing very well. Foolish to write them off.

Barcelona reminded me of the Moyes game against Fulham with our 300 crossed into the box.. saurez looks like his legs have gone, looks like they will have to spend a fortune in the summer. Will be £#%&!ed when Messi goes, you can already see the decline with age.
