Carrick having his best game for Utd, been superb and getting forward. Rooney.. his first touch again has been pretty awful, looks like a midfielder playing up front, no sharpness in tight areas at all. Needs a goal so badly.

there was a bit of a clue in the comment about barry deserving to be sent off. late, studs up, scissor tackle. carrick could have been seriously hurt. it would have been a bit harsh if barry had been sent off for osbourne's tackle. :0)

you're right about carrick playing well - good goal and the cross for ronaldo was superb, not to mention good defensive covering, but villa are awful. if rooney can't boost his confidence in the second half, he'll never get over it. that drag wide on his left foot just before half time was painful to watch.

Lovely to watch. Scholes, Neville and Carrick have all been superb. Getting worried about Rooney though. His worst performance for a while. Everything he touched seemed to turn to shit. His first touch was Fletcher-esque at times.

bit of an exaggeration

have to agree with the Barry tackle Carrick flew about ten foot in the air
if Rooney had done that I very much doubt he'd still be playing

Perhaps he needs to be dropped, swift boot to the arse, let him realise that he is not undroppable. Excuses have been made for him, but if you analyse his performances this season they have been below par most of the season.

His first touch is the most worrying thing, for a top player that is the key. Fundamental flaw in his game, a goal will not change that.

Probably go out and have a brilliant second half, I hope, because we need him at his best to win this league.

Bring off Rooney and get on Saha or Solskjær.

vidic's defending was very weak for the villa goal

barry should have gone, obviously

but rooney is playing well. he's creating a lot and his running off the ball is creating a lot of space for larsson, ronnie and park. he does need a goal desperately, though.

No-one, Rooney got a yellow for a wild swipe, not as bad as Barry early in the game though.

O'Shea is £#%&!ing £#%&!. This 10minute cameo has got to be one of his worst. Can't even do the basics right.

Someone break his leg.

All the sites I can follow it on are about 10 mins behind it seems - I swear Martin Buchamn is warming up on some of the commentaries I'm looking at.
