Default Sami Khedira

Papers in Spain (and here) saying that Arsenal and Chelsea are bidding for him. 25 million euros, not bad.

Good signing for Arsenal if they get him. Chelsea...still into stock piling players I guess.

Fabregas, Ramires, Mikel, Matic and Khedira...

Arsenal starting to put together a dangerous side if this happens. A potential front 6 of Wilshere, Khedira, Ramsey, Walcott. Ozil, Sanchez. Khedira would be a good signing for them, too often last season they were exposed due to the lack of athleticism through midfield, the likes of Arteta, Cazorla, Podolski, Rosicky left them so open to the quick counter.

Ozil and Sanchez in under a year is a statement, all those years Wenger kept them competitive while spending very little, paying off the stadium, but their Puma deal is kicking in, they are cash rich.

Top 4 all those years while Liverpool, Spurs, Utd, Chelsea, City were dwarfing his expenditure. Until the last 3 years he was close to a nett profit on transfer dealings.

Big 2 years for his reputation coming now, finally won a trophy, needs to push on.

Can't make the right changes in the big games.

Not worried.

I reckon they'll do well next season. Still won't win the league though, apart from the October one.

Perhaps, but he has been working under a constant talent drain, always losing some of his best players. Van Persie and Song in 12/13, Nasri and Fabregas 11/12, Adebayor and Toure(when both were at their peak) in 09/10, Hleb and Flamini the year before.

Big names like Ozil and Sanchez could help reverse that trend, challenging and winning certainly will.

Ozil isnt a difference maker though, nor is Sanchez

Ozil is a midfield version of berbatov, extremely talented but you question whether he has that desire to truly fulfil his talent. He'll continue to do well when the team is confident, but whenever arsenal face trouble, and they will - he will go into hiding.

You dont add alexis sanchez into the group that conceded 16 goals in 3 games to title rivals last season and think everything is fine. I mean they didnt even beat moyes' united.

Arsenal will need a team of alexis sanchez and ozil level talents to do anything under wenger.

Ozil will look much better when he is playing with Walcott and Sanchez rather than looking for 1-2's off Giroud. You are not wrong though, he is not a leader, not a Cantona type who is going to inspire a group and drive them on through force of personality.

Ramsey might be their best player and most likely to have that level of influence, but yes they need to sort out their defence, Metersacker is an intelligent player but his lack of mobility is always a worry.

Agree with Silv when it comes to Arsenal, they are a proper club, the rivalry Utd had with them around the turn of the milennium created some of the best football of the PL era.

Agreed.

khedira would be a great signing. Quality player imo.

Like tibs says, that's quite a front 6. A couple of my good mates are gooners. A proper club, as tibboh says.
