Can we win the European Cup Final?

The more articles I read the more I think we can... Barca are not invincible and as long as all our 11 play a top game we have a great chance.

Course we can, but we need to get at them right from the off.

Not tempting fate on this one.

If we score more goals than them, then I think we can win.

barca are slight favourites, no more than that. outside england this is seen as the dream final between two clubs who have demonstrated clearly that they are a distance above the rest in europe.

there is a symmetry in the match that has been much commented on:
- the top teams from the strongest leagues facing each other
- both teams have been drawn against and have outplayed and seen off their own strongest national rivals in previous rounds
- both teams have beaten the third-best teams from the other's league during the competition
- both teams have won the title three times in their history
- both teams have one win and one defeat in the last few finals


united and barca are the class of europe. each is seen as the single most difficult opponent for the other, quite rightly.

Must kill them that a London team has never won the European Cup and it's United who got to the final at Wembley.

it's a mark of the hype around barca that i keep thinking they've done better than they have, the other day i mentioned them as defending champions, now i've got them as beaten finalists. their record in the cl is a fair bit worse than united's over the last few years, of course.

Greatest team ever, you know. £#%&! 'em, I think we'll win. I'm certain Fergie has figured out how to handle them. We're better in a few spots and it can be enough in one game.

Barca have been beaten by far worse teams than us this season. In a one off game I'm sure even City could beat them.
