Don't think anyone is saying that he hasn't been a very successful manager for them. The point is that 5 major trophies (including 2 league cups) isn't particularly impressive over what 8 or 9 seasons and doesn’t really look like record of a managerial great. I think we've won 4 trophies on that time (also including 2 league cups) and we've been utter shite.

He's spent loads and the one CL he managed to win was against Spurs.
He managed to win one league when no @#%&! was there. Apart from that he's done nothing of note. You can say city raised the bar, but when Chelsea and Mourinho raised the bar, Ferguson took them down eventually. And now he's bottled it. He can't take the heat. A grade A @#%&!. Ferguson would have destroyed him. |

He's been a manager for over twenty-three years now. Three league titles in that time. He has as many relegations on his record as he does Premier League titles.
Took Mainz down, failed to get them back up, and walked away claiming he needed a rest (the new manager got them promoted the following season). Three weeks later, fully refreshed after his 'rest', he rocks up at Dortmund. He was involved in seven two-horse races whilst there, managing to win two of the seven. Announced his resignation during the season when they were fighting relegation, and ultimately went on to finish seventh in that particular two-horse race. Completed eight seasons now at Liverpool, failing to win the title in seven of those attempts. This season will be eight. Time for another rest. Mourinho has also been a manager for 23 years. Eight league titles. Twice as many European Cups. Always makes me laugh when Klopp is bracketed in with Pep. How often do we hear something along the lines of "...the likes of Pep and Klopp". That's like saying, "the likes of Michael Laudrup and Russell Beardsmore". Good to very good manager. Far from one of the greats. And a humungous £#%&!er. Good £#%&!ing riddance. |

Klopp's an excellent manager. He bought players from Stoke, Sunderland and Newcastle and got them winning trophies, smashing the likes of Barcelona on the way. That's impressive however you look at it - he obviously has an ability to get the most out of his players. It never seems to last very long though. As you've pointed out, when things starts to get tough he regularly gives up and walks away. Excellent manager, but one of the greats? No chance in hell. He's also a massive whining #@&%! who never stops gibbering about fixture pile-ups as if they only affect Liverpool and, typically for the vermin, talks as if he's had to make do with a budget of two packets of crisps and a few coins. And that fixed-smile pretend-disbelief face he does when a decision goes against them is so irritating. |

So does everyone think Pep is a far superior manager to Klopp? That having unlimited resources isn’t a slight advantage?
Not sure I’d put them too far apart and in many ways, I’d say Klopp manages to get more out of bang average players than Pep could ever do. Pep has had Silva and De Bruyne at their peaks - players that every other uk club would have lost if it wasn’t for the 2nd salaries. I’d prefer to give more credit to Klopp than I ever would do those cheating @#%&!s. |

Peps a better coach when he's got unlimited funds and the best players in the league, which he's had at every club he's ever been at. And when he leaves City, he'll go to PSG and have the same laid out before him. He's the ultimate coach at making top assests play like robots in a certain system. Can you ever compare him to anyone because I'm struggling to think of another coach in footballing history who's had it easier at every job
I hate Klopp and had some scouse mates comparing him to Ferguson when they were winning their Covid title. But, he's been really good at Liverpool, NQAT. Buys average players and they perform. It's also utter %@#$&!s that he's spent next to £#%&! all but worked miracles and has never bought the finished article. In short, neither are a £#%&!ing patch on SAF. |

Liverpool fans love to talk about points accumulated, the finals they’ve made - they seem to equate nearly doing something with actually doing something. If City weren’t around…. Well they were. If Arsenal and Blackburn weren’t around, we’d have won the league every season from 1993 to 2005. Deal with it. Ride to the challenge. If you were a great team, you’d find a way. There’s also plenty of seasons where they’ve finished below city and others - including us 3 times in our worst period for 30 years. They talk about the last eight years like they’ve maintained a level. They didn’t get going from 2015-2018. 2018-2020, they peaked and were excellent. Two of the following three seasons they’ve finished outside the top two. You’d think they were finishing on 95 points behind city every season, the way they go on. I’ve said it before, but history will not reflect well on this team. They could/should have won more. The numbers just don’t look great and don’t deserve to be mentioned with great teams and great managers. A very good team with a very good manager. That’s all. |
