When I think of teams throughout history I absolutely detest, that Liverpool team is pretty much top of the list. Dalglish, Grobelaar, Hansen, McMahon, Molby, Aldridge..

Grobelaar, McMahon, Molby - utter filth. Amongst the worst ever but Aldridge is next level for me. A genuine #@&%! and a bitter one too. Absolutely repugnant. Him and Nigel Winterburn. £#%&!ing hell.

Been on the piss with Michael Thomas and obviously thanked him for "that" goal and asked him how the mickies reacted when he signed. Said he had a rough time there overall but scoring a goal in the FA cup final helped but they never took to him really.

Aldridge is so dislikable its unreal. Probably my most hated ex player of theirs and I wasnt even really old enough to 'experience' him as a Liverpool player. (83 born)

Aldridge is a particularly vile man.

Ahhh, that light tan suit and tan slip ons combo makes the heat melt. The Farah and Burberry golf jacket years

I vaguely remember it happening at the time but have watched the video many times since. It’s the sight of the tan slip ons galloping dressage style across the pitch that’s priceless. You can tell Pleat is a wooden block when it comes to emotion and dancing but he sure let his feet do the talking there. And what feet - what a beautiful tanned sight.

And the backpass rule.

Soon as that was changed, it took them nearly 3 decades to win a league title.
