Agree with the Tev Meister General... if we're going to win the ECL we want to beat the best team with its best players.

They'll be screaming 'conspiracy' on RAWK if this continues.

Sounded like a thigh strain for him rather than anything broken, I suspect he'll make it.

Gentlemen....please....

do you think Barca would be bemoaning Ronaldo and Rooney missing out...or a Vidic suspension....

if we win, we win......its down as 4 glorious victories and in 6 months nobody will remember who was missing and who wasnt.....

and only bitter @#%&!s will bring the subject up....for all of us to laugh at

i hope they all go down with the shits the night before after a dodgy pizza

I dont want all their best players injured, people will moan about it saying we didnt play the real barcelona.

We want messi, iniesta et all playing so, when we put them to the sword, we can say we beat the best.

Still happy about their shocking defence though

lets not get excited at injuries just yet, karma has a habit of getting revenge, and with 3 leagues games to go before the final, I ain't about to poke karma with a sharp stick.

I honestly can't believe that people actually want their players to be fit.

Nobody will give a £#%&! in a few years whether they had injuries or not, it's about how many you have won.

Can anybody even remember who was injured for Milan in 2005? No all you can remember is which @#%&!s won it.

I never enjoyed the ECWC win in 91 because their 1st choice keeper was out.

Damn that dwarf they had instead.

Good post.

FFS people, abu's, don't even remember who was out for us in 1999. They just say we were lucky. Yes lucky to have europes premier midfield pairing suspended.

There is a part of me that wants them severely depleted, so that we may trounce them.

However I honestly think this is one of the greatest ever European Cup/Chamion League final match up, of all time (on paper at least). The two very best football clubs in the world, each with what can be claimed to be their greatest ever sides, playing on the biggest stage. Would be a shame, a real shame, if one of them is missing 2 key players through injury and 2 more through suspension (against a full strenght minus Fletcher Utd).

Imagine if Iniesta is injured, and we still lost.

I don't remember Bayern saying how much better the final would have been with Scholes, Berg and Keane in the team. Oh, that's because they lost anyway.

It's 11 -v- 11. One game. Anything can happen.

I don't agree that it's about how many you've won at all tbh

United have won 2 plus another one on penalties

But the 1968 final is the stuff of legend and the 1999 final is remembered as part of probably the most amazing couple of weeks we'll ever £#%&!ing see following United.

Reaching the final this year is about trying to defend the trophy and going down in the history books. It's not about "winning it 4 times".

Ajax won 4 European Cups, but they're famous for 3 of them - 3 on the trot. Same as Bayern Munich. If United somehow dragged themselves to Madrid and made it 3 on the trot next season they would enter the pantheon of legends, and winning the Cup 5 times would be a total sideshow.

imho.
