He's coaching poorly.

Even I know he's better than this.

The entire team looks broken
Even when we were winning this season you could tell that something wasn’t right with this team
Once the confidence went a bit then the lack of a clear identity or structure to fall back on was clear

Jose can talk about lack of funds and not having some sort of unlimited budget but the bottom line is we look like a poorly coached side

Exactly pal

There's four or five of them at any time whose confidence is shot

Lingard playing well now. Of the front lot that's it. Few weeks it'll be somebody else riding a little wave.... but other than that, we're depressing.

We don't play in any way.

What is It? Tell me? How do United play? What's their style? £#%&!ed if I know.

Can't wait for an deflection tactic from mou. Today it was having no strikers when he's got four on the books. Before that it was only spending £300m instead of peps £390m.

Talking about city like they eben matter to us atm we're miles away. Now we're looking over our shoulder

Low percentage low risk disabling football

£#%&! off.

Listening to previous players talk about his coaching methods it seems to be mainly based on when the players don’t have the ball
Once the players have the ball it’s up to the front players to make something happen

Sometimes that can work but it feels a bit antiquated compared to modern coaches who put more focus into coaching what the players need to when they have the ball rather than when they don’t

Might have got Jose at the wrong time
Whatever magic he once had seems gone

too true - loads of money spent on that. 140m in midf - not doing £#%&!all. hit the ball long regardless of who's up top. long ball to lukaku - mata , doesn't matter , just hit it. andy carroll in Jan.

He's a great coach, or has been, but there's shades of what happened towards the end of his time at Chelsea creeping in here. He slagged off their players publicly, dropped big names, and ultimately lost the dressing room and his job.

I hope it isn't, but it does look like that's what's happening here.

Have no single clue what the answer to any of this is. It’s possible that reality is not actually 2nd, and that 5th or 6th is still our true place in this league.

Mourinho is doing a shit job and at least half of these players are not up to it. It’s hard to find words except to say it’s a joyless experience.

It'll be fine when we buy him a new dressing room.

The young players are going backwards, the signings that have come in have looked largely average, and the playing style is absolutely dire. Extract this boil out of the club before he does irreversible damage to the identity and tradition of Manchester United Football Club.

i suggest binning the dogshit players before getting rid of the manager

He has been pampered his entire career. Tantrum over not being an automatic pick at Utd at 18. Goes to Juve, easy league, dominant team, world class midfield around to do all the boring stuff that really counts. Nice easy life.

Back at Utd we are still trying to work out how to best use him. Like you I adore his talent level and those times he just looks unplayable but he needs to mature quickly.

Doesn’t matter if he goes now or in 18 months really. He won’t be staying longer than his standard 3 years, and he isn’t building anything or laying any foundations or doing anything other than attempting to grind out results, Moyes could’ve done that ffs.

In the last 2 or 3 minutes we actually showed some urgency. Why the £#%&! don't we just start like that? We should come out and look to absolutely smash teams in the first 10 minutes.

We lack any sort of movement up front and we take about 5 £#%&!ing touches when just 1 would be better. So slow, so ponderous, £#%&!ing awful.

Most frustrating is the 100mph crosses that we seem to continue with. Have we ever scored from one of them? The players are obviously told to do it but it's £#%&!ing pointless. The few goals we've scored from crosses have come from slower crosses.

Mickey signed his death warrant tonight. Abysmal. But pretty much all of them were. Feels like we've got a £#%&!ing huge mountain to climb. Carry on like this and we've no chance of top 4.

Someone in the tunnel during the Southampton interviews shouted "Mourinho is rubbish"

Not some trendy media tart like Poch, for sure.
Yep

Blame tactics all you want, the lack of effort is a lot more of a concern IMO.

Players, manager, the lot.

Buy a whole new team and get a manager who knows how to get the best out of any players, not just the ones he coincidentally didn't buy.

Caveman Keown doesn't think the players are playing for him either. Oh dear.
