Guardiola was obviously never gonna join us just as he was never gonna join Dortmund.

Wants an easy ride.

Nqat

Gets sides playing for him tbf, but where would he be without an unlimited budget allowing him to make sweeping changes within 18 months

Mou would be equally as successful at City, would Guardiola be doing as well as Mou is with the squad we have?

Very doubtful.

Sad to see a United fan always be ever ready to snipe at his club's manager.

Did Mou spend a lot at Inter? Porto?

Can he be blamed for Chelsea blowing crazy wads on players he never even wanted?
Mou has always, even at Porto compared to his opposition in Portugal, spent a lot and has never been shy about complaining when he felt he needed more. Why deny or even argue that?

It does not mean he is not and has not been a great manager but it is hard to take him seriously when he plays the pauper. Felt the same when he was at Chelsea. Do you remember that 0-0 draw at OT in Moyes' season. Mourinho refused to pick a striker that night, left Torres and a young Lukaku on the bench to try and force the club to buy a striker.

And twice as much? Since when has £390 million been double £300 million?

There is about £100m between them apparently - Peps £1b to Joses £1.1b.

Difference Jose has taken 17 years and maybe 5 managerial stints/clubs -most of whom weren't winning things when he took over - to spend it whereas Pep is about 9 years and 3 clubs 2 being the very very best in their respective leagues anyway.

So if this goes through that means their first choice defence when every one is fit is-

Ederson- £35m
Walker- £50m
Stones- £50m
Van Dijk- £60m
Mendy- £50m

Yet Guardiola isn't a cheque book manager...

Jose on the other hand should f***ing well coach Jones and Smalling into being top class centre backs and not a pair of error prone clowns. He should coach all of the rubbish players Van Gaal bought into being world class and do it without half the players he bought himself who are injured or suspended all the time.

So whilst Jose won two trophies with a far inferior squad, that's all forgotten about because his nemesis can buy whoever he wants whenever he wants.
Sparky you just outdone yourself with that post.

Arguing over who has spent more.

Both spent £#%&! loads both very successful both great managers

One prioritizes a certain playing style , the other doesn't.

I prefer the first one.

The Spanish waiter would be successful at City with that money behind him.

What about the fact one is a convicted drug cheat in his playing days and was, more than likely, involved in the biggest systematic blood doping scandal in the history of football whilst he was in spain?
