He's moved us along from van Gaal, but none of the players or the team as a whole are progressing, and we just need the boost that a new manager would bring.

If Zidane would do the job for the rest of the season, and then everyone could see where things stand next summer, I'd take that.

The choice was between Mourinho and Zidane.

And I don't think Zidane would sign a 5-year deal right now - he'd be mad to.

Why would three time CL winner Zidane be happy with being a stop gap for 7 months?

I don't think he would - that's why I said "if he would".

I don't think he'd sign a permanent deal either.

But I'd still prefer him to Mourinho which is what I though the question was.

More chance he’d sign a long term contract where he would be given time to transform the side into his own IMO.

No way would he risk harming his reputation managing these bunch of shit @#%&!s for just six months.

You might be right, but with the new director being lined up, I'd be surprised if the board sanction another long-term deal for a high-profile manager without the director having a big input into the decision.

To be honest, I think we're stuck with Jose for the rest of the season at least while things are being set up.

Edit - the director of football I mean

The Utd job would eat Zidane alive. Even with those players listed Spurs beat them easily . That squad was at least the equal of Barca’s last season & they didn’t get close to them. Nobody could say our squad was anywhere near equal to City’s.
Anybody thinking he would mount a better challenge than Jose did last season with this squad is seriously £#%&!ed in the head & his style of play is not that dissimilar to boring old Jose’s.

Funny mou being called miserable by these crybabies.

If anything they are the miserable ones. Mou is buoyant. And he has the fans behind him. Keep dreaming lads.

It's a good reason to move on now rather than waiting. Especially as we won't win the league this year.

Reviving young players > finishing 3rd/4th with Mou.
