Why are all of our midfielders being rewarded after long periods of dross ?

I'm not doubting their contributions over the past few seasons, but this is probably the clearest indication you can find that we wont be buying anyone of note in the summer to pep up the pedestrian shite we've seen this last year or so.

When will that @#%&! Glazer £#%&!ing die? ffs

What do you reckon? I think we’ll probably see Hargreaves & Gibson out and Scholes retiring T-Clev back, Pogba and Tunnicliffe promoted, alongside Anderson, Fletcher and Carrick. Perhaps one ‘value’ signing (Ireland probably ) with one of Pogba or Tunnicliffe going out on loan.

I’m sure the rest of Europe are shitting themselvs.

Hargreaves is gone
Gibson must be going
Scholes' departure is imminent (or his time on the pitch greatly reduced)
Anderson can't play football for more than a month or 2 without getting injured, and it takes him a month to find form again.

Did anybody seriously think Fletcher or Carrick were in any danger of being sold or allowed to leave?

Even if he was to buy 2 top level CM's (who I do not know) there is no chance either Carrick or Fletcher would be allowed to leave. In fact, getting rid of either would be foolhardy. There was never any chance we would get rid of the entire midfield and replace it.

Well, we’ve signed a 16 year old ‘attacking midfielder’
