Hopefully its just like the O'Shea deal and he's only been kept on to provide experience from the bench.
Or, in O'Shea's case, as first choice RB.

Hopefully he'll be a squad player next year.

I never expected him to be sold and I do think there is a place for him in the squad.
It doesn't change the fact we still need two centre midfielders preferably with experience.
Scholes - looks like retiring.
Hargi - dead
Gibbo -
Carrick
Fletch
Anderson
plus two more. (one experienced one from the youth would be fine)

Yep. Selling him would be an overreaction, imo. Let's just hope he's got some competition for his place next season.

O' Shea has only come into the team because Rio is out injured, and with Smalling playing so much I assume Fergie wanted some experience across the back four so has gone with O'Shea in recent games.

I think when Rio is fit Rafael will go straight back into the side as first choice right-back.

Hopefully Carrick will just be used as a back-up squad player for whoever we sign in the summer. I can't see him getting back the form he had a few seasons ago.

To be under-rated you first have to be rated.

Not surprised you're made up, aren't you a gooner?

No, it's about the bigger picture. Tuesday was one game, a shit game.

This, It's a statement of intent. Another nail in the coffin for the standards of our football club.

Crap.

so we tried to sell him in the summer, but nobody was interested, therefore he gets a new deal. probably because we can't afford a top-class replacement

he's been poor since rome, he had the confidence smashed out of him

if fergie can kick his arse about in the next pre season and make him a footballer again this could be a blessing, he'll have to be behind at least two new signings though
a big if i know but i reckon he can come good if he works hard

Struggling to see how he gets his best form back to be honest. It's been soooooo long. He should be well into his peak by now.

Then again Evra's been mint the last couple of games, after signing his contract.
