Same. I gave them all too much credit presuming they predicted this and would weather the storm.

Bunch of £#%&!ing bitches. Had they all just no commented it like a group of chavs caught kicking an old mans teeth in, they could have gotten away with it.

How did they not see this coming and have a plan not to buckle, even if the 2 @#%&!y clubs pulled out in Chel/City.

Praying this £#%&!s our lot off to the point of they realise this is as good as it gets, so may as well cash in.

They couldn’t have. Once you hand politicians that much currency and an almost universal mandate there’s almost nothing they can’t or won’t do. Part of me wishes this had gone on a bit longer because rushed legislation, clawing these clubs back from the vultures, might have been the only legal way to get rid of them. This groveling climb down makes that far less likely now.

On the bright side boris doesn’t get to take credit for saving it. The #@&%! still has to answer to all the backhanded lobbying for him and members in his party

This. The best PR in the world would not make up for an incredibly unpopular proposal being introduced at an incredibly inopportune moment by a bunch of incredibly unpopular businessmen.

Politicians must have been thinking "Wow there's someone out there who are worse at this than we are.".

People hoping some good will come of this? The joy of £#%&!stain's removal has to be tempered by the knowledge that such monumental greed, incompetence and complete ignorance of the game is not only driving the bus, but £#%&!ing owns it

Until the German model of 50 + 1% ownership is the standard, football will continue to die and the commercial nails will continue to be driven into it's coffin.

Things are about to go pretty shit imo

Cuts back, no new signings, sales etc

They’ll be absolutely £#%&!ing fuming that they couldn’t get any of that super league cash.

They need to invest to finish top 4. Thats something they hate and why they wanted the super league. So either gotta sell or invest, otherwise they make club worth less when they sell.

Just float the rest of your shares and £#%&! off.

This. Fans are pissed again, could organise to at least hit them in the pockets a little bit more as well. Not so much that it will make all the difference, but negativity plus the knowledge that they will have to invest or risk losing even more money might just push them into chasing in now.

But we'll probably end up with @#%&!s again.

All fans need to keep pressure on govt to bring in the 50+1 ownership, and if the Premier League, FA, SKY & BT really do give a £#%&! about fans, they'd back it to. They won't... obviously.

Give up now and they will learn from this and try again. Hopefully they don't just sit back thinking they've won and do shit to stop this happening in the future by banning Americans from the game.

Biden scum !

Certainly now is the time to try and push for the things that should already be ours. There will not be a better time for a long time.

This is the best chance to get rid of those @#%&!s.

I think the reason given for the prem stopping the newcastle buyout was the saudis were doing it by proxy and would not need to show the details etc
