Though Sparks was mid-late 30s?

So old enough to have been at school when Arsenal and Liverpool were battling for the title.

Anyway, the point about being around them is a minor one - their success is irritating to me and should be to us however sparky wants to paint it.
Arsenal won titles in 89 and 91 during an era that United had gone a quarter of a century without one

Must have been brutal on young Sparks over there in Fulham or wherever the £#%&! he’s from

So no Scousers?

Utter privileged school upbringing amongst reds.

Some didn’t have it so lucky. And they aren’t going to sympathise with you now

Must have been hell growing up around all that Liverpool success in the 80's, living absolutely nowhere near Manchester or Liverpool. HELL.

Compared to living in Manchester now with berties coming out of the woodwork like rats, absolutely desperate to share in the sudden hand me down wealth from a regime well known for it's brutality and torture and yet the self righteous bastards somehow decide to overlook that... not many answers when you bring it up with them of course.....

They're still a joke and always will be, but the 2 scenarios are utterly incomparable.....

Yeah if only there was a London version of an oil backed club spewing loads of new fans to be surrounded by and undeserved success, maybe even a European Cup.

Can’t begin to imagine what you’re going through

Even then it was merely a blip. Fluked a CL playing Shiite football whilst churning through managers and finishing 6th. Nobody gave a shit.

It was disappointing but meh.. and I was working with a good few Chelsea fans at the time.
