Default Eric Bailly's potential

Just how good do you think he can be?

I'll hold back a bit but i'm ready to go all in tbh, astonishing performance from a 22 yr old with 40 games or whatever it is under his belt.

Very impressed with him. Still a very young lad and has the potential to be fantastic.

I just wish he could head a ball.

Yeah, he was pushing it a bit in the second half today

Impressive athlete, combines good spring with acceleration. Similar build to Rio, lean which allows him to retain agility, but still strong.

A little reckless in going to ground but I like aggressive front foot defenders, not sure he and Smalling will make a natural pair.

Potential to be really good or really shit. Surely we've learned enough over the years before bigging someone up during pre-season.

I'll reserve judgement until he's cleared a ball with his face while lying on the ground. the mark of a natural defender

Looks an utter beast....will have a few howlers though (well folk will call them howlers) he gives 110% in everything....not afraid of anyone, hard in the tackle, will challenge for everything....

The vid someone posted when he signed was perfect, he'll get left for dead or completely £#%&! a clearance this year without a doubt....

But he'll also stick his head in, beast some centre fowards and clear his lines...

An old Skool defender in a very intelligent lads body....

First choice for me.

The fact he enjoys a battle and doesn't shirk a challenge is pleasing. No striker wants to play against those types. That he is quick to recover and can pass the ball is a bonus.

Sounds from what Mourinho is saying that he knows the team needs to be high up and quite compact to get the best out of the forwards. Bailly looks very useful for the high lin as he's even quicker and more mobile than Smalling, and possibly more assertive.

How good he is positionally and as a reader of the game we'll see.

Blind and Bailly first choice pairing for me atm
