He'll score. No doubt. But he has a lot of limitations, especially when played up top on his own. Hopefully as he is relatively young he can improve. We knew we weren't getting the finished article. The money we paid though suggests he should be, but that's just numbers on a balance sheet

That’s why he’s playing with the black boots. He needs a brand to go there and give him the right boots and pay him the right money, so he goes back to (scoring) goals.’

Absolute £#%&!ing state.

Can see the big man bagging today

Carry that in to the City game and all will be forgiven.

He can look like a proper donkey for vast spells of games. I used to complain about Rooney's touch

His build up play has been spot on most of this barren period tbf. Hand in a hell of a lot of goals.

Imagine how good he’d be if he could control a football.

Would've preferred him hooked and Martial let loose on the Arsenal clowns tbh.

Do think Martial is wasted on the left a bit, needs a free-er or more central role..

Tbf it felt like he was drifting all over the shop today and looks to have a lot more freedom this season

The sub, imo, was the right one. Needed someone of his frame and pace up top to pressure the Arsenal defence when we attempted to counter. Was the logical substitution to make tbh

Much better today.

Didn't all go right for him. A few heavy touches, but combined for two of the goals and worked a hell of a lot harder than usual.

Played his part in a big win.

Not a phenomenal performance by any means, by he certainly played his part today.

First time he's turned up for us in a big game, which bodes well. Long may it continue.

When we were down to ten he kept 2 players busy.

BUT... he needs to make shit happen on his onesies.

Only young though. And handsome
