Obvs Moyes inherited less of a broken club and gradually lowered everyone's expectations to the level we're at now.

The fact we're at the same win rate as Mou but with more goals, just, is an improvement already.

AGREED or does it show our Defence is worse so we have to score more goals to get the same win ratio??

Maybe I am too harsh on Shaw

Yup.
Where's the story in that though?

Moyes inherited a team that just won the Premier League with an actual spine in it to some degree though.

I love Ole.

Solksjaer inherited a team with:
  • A broken spirit
  • Worlds most expensive pricey virus
  • One of the most expensive big lumps upfront
  • England's hottest young talent effectively playing at left back
  • No midfield
  • One of the best goalkeepers in the world with one foot out of the door on a free
  • Ashley Young starting practicly every game
  • A bunch of centrebacks no-one liked.
  • A tactical setup with which bored the piss out of everyone who watched.

Under Ole:
  • We've got rid of the expensive lump upfront.
  • The world record virus has been banished from the team and looks to be on his way out of the door to everybody's relief, but yet everyone's still happy and smiling.
  • Ashley young no longer starts every week.
  • Our centreback situation looks slightly better
  • Englands hottest young talent looks hot again and isn't marking opposition wingers in his own defensive third.
  • Team spirit looks good
  • We just about have a midfield when everyone is fit.
  • One of the best goalkeepers in the world on a new contract
  • Football that is at least exciting, if not quite as rewarding as we'd like at the moment.
  • Young players with proper game time.

And he's still managed to better or equal the numbers after Moyes.

Team Ole

patty b with a great post there.

We are certainly heading in the right direction and it's foolish to compare what OGS inherited vs Moyes (shudder).

I feel for the first time in ages - we are on the right track.

Martial, Pogba are bad apples - get rid.

We have youth coming through and could easily in a couple of years have 5 or 6 youth players (Rashford, Greenwood, Williams, Garner, Axel F - it's not beyond the realms of possibility) in our starting XI.

OGS has steadied the ship. He's an anchor.

We've gone from wanchors to anchors.

You can talk about progress but if he doesn’t get the money to spend next month it’s all pointless

Fastest 12 months in history?

I've barely been this season so happier to play the long game than others, even if it's a dead end

Think everyone is in unanimous agreement that it’s on the board to back Ole and get the right signings in. If Haland is a go then it looks like that might be happening.
