How are teams like £#%&!ing Burnley in this league?

They get over £50m for being promoted to the premier league and then spend a paltry £8m on players, most of whom are shite.

What do they expect? Is it any wonder they're down the bottom of the league playing this "huff n puff, get into 'em then shout at the ref" shit.

yeah it's been piss poor, but might as well embrace it for a few weeks - or at least as long as united have a chance of nicking it anyway, which would be hilarious

It would be great. Tbh Wenger nicking it off Mou would be funny.

I'd like to see Arsenal overtake City now under FFP. I miss Wenger being a loathsome @#%&!. Need some proper intensity to these battles for the league. The Premier League needs United and Arsenal in the title races. The plastics don't create the same tension.

Imagine the scouse, mourinho, the press and the ABU nation simultaneously melting down while LvG sails down the irwell

That would be ridiculous, about 6 good performances all season and already in third. LVG inwardly must be shocked at where they are.

A few weeks back some were concerned that Utd might miss out on top 4 because of a tough run in, but it was always going to take a dreadful set of performances to finish behind Spurs, Liverpool or Southampton.

At no point during this game have Burnley even looked like they believed they could get something. Arsenal have cruised through like its a training match.

was a quote in RI a while back from some ex-coach of his - 'he's spectacularly thick even by normal footballer standards' or something like that

True, though people do overlook his achievement in keeping Arsenal in CL places while they were paying off The Emirates stadium, Spurs, Liverpool, Villa, Sunderland, even Stoke have a higher net spend over the last 10 years, go back to the summer of 2013 before they became financially stable and you could add a lot more clubs to that list.

They were a selling club, continually losing their best players, look to be in a position now where that should not happen.

Agree on Arsenal, a Utd Arsenal rivalry is infinitely better than a City/Chelsea one. Two proper teams going at it

They'll be right up there next season
