What we are all fearing. It’s not Jim and Ineos that is the threat. It’s freaking Elliott keeping the Glazers in.

I'm hoping that it's just the gimps way of driving the price higher, trying to put a message out there that they aren't desperate to sell and have financing options available if they don't get what they want.

If they couldn’t afford to consolidate during the era of effectively free credit there’s no chance they can do it now, they’re gone come what may

Not sure where this idea that Ratcliffe’s bid means debt for the club comes from
He’s getting financing for the bid but it’s secured against his company Ineos
It’s not something the club will be paying back

If either of the bidders are successful then the club will be debt free as the current debt will be factored into the purchasing price

Also not sure where this idea comes from that you have to be backed by an oil state to be successful
Name me one club backed by a state that has won the CL

Funny how so many have written off the idea he's a United fan. Wasn't he educated here too?

He turned down being King of Qatar as it might conflict with some euro aways.

Nobody wants to keep the Glazers running United. They're offering part financing for someone else to bid in exchange for a minority shareholding not to keep the Glazers there.
Nobody with any intelligence is going to pay to keep them in charge with their track record over the last 18 years. They've been trying to do exactly this for the last few years and have had zero Interest from anyone.

He went to Sandhurst, which is pretty common across Arab states for people of high influence.

wait …what?
do you think city / psg haven’t won the ecl because they are backed by an oil state or because they haven’t been quite good enough in the actual competition?
