Brace yourselves. If this happens it’s going to cause a biblical level of coverage.

Nothings happened yet and everyone’s already having a fit

The headlines are going to be glorious

“Is this the end of football as we know it”

“Have Manchester United sold their soul and in doing so ruined football”

“Why are Manchester United so evil”

“Were Qatar despicably involved in this he glory years: revisiting Manchester United’s time under Sir Alex”

“10 reasons why Abu Dhabi are less evil than Qatar”

“Won’t someone please think of the children”

Etc

Amnesty International chaining themselves to the Stretford end nets game one. Most people able to Pinpoint Qatar on a map start of the third season. Use of "glaziers" to become niche nostalgia. Greatest forum meet ever on believes yacht preseason 2025

The Carrington training base could use an upgrade, too.

Two billy ffs, anyone know Jamie Jackson's username? It says everything about the state of the planet that he has the plum job on arguably the best sports desk around
This popped up on my YouTube feed yesterday and I wouldn't usually click on $#*!e like this, but I must say, I'm quite taken with option b.

Option C is missing a trick. Leave the old pitch intact and it's a huge attraction for fans to play on it; instead of the small new stadium next to it, build it round it.

Option A for me, but then I'm a bit of a luddite

I worry about the amount of sun the grass would get with options B & C, plus they look a bit like every other £#%&!ing stadium built in the last 20 years.

I'm not a fan.

Most fans just want a new roof and a bit of an upgrade rather than a generic identikit refit don't they?

Yep that’s why they put the Perspex on the roof in the first place
