This is the best I have seen City for a long time, looking a side who should have walked the league this season given the opposition.

De Bruyne has been superb, major upgrade on Silva given their curent level

Na. Point was he should be at a club that has played in more than one champions league semi final in 10 years.

City still ropey at the back, should see enough chances for Madrid to win the ties

Replacing a small, slow Spanish lad with proper pace, directness and aggression? We paying notice.

Those two up front should see them comfortably to 4th now really.

They've improved since we beat them.

We beat them because they took their eye off the ball.

I was 'd for suggesting they'd go up a gear.

I've been assured constantly on here that that is a stupid suggestion

I watched them against WBA last week with a City fan. They were garbage.

Think it's the Euro win that's lifted them. Still always liable to drop points, but today looks a big win for them. Hopefully Madrid smash them and their heads drop again.

True, they weren't great last week tbf, but performances have definitely picked up, they look more motivated and results have followed.

They'll comfortably get fourth.

We blew it quite some time ago.

Again it's been all of one and a half games. They weren't even that great first half against Paris. Not even watching today but have they been that dominant?

Agree though we shouldn't be in the position of hoping for favours off them. Jesus we've been shite.

Not dominant, but vibrant going forward. From early the situations they were getting into looked promising.

Chelsea having a good spell now tbf.

Our fightback since the turn of the year has been decent tbf. December killed us but nobody gave us a prayer a few months back. Lots of 'what if' moments. Again, if City get sparked by Madrid it could open the door. I really hoped for something today, though.

Come on you useless rentboy @#%&!s.

Where's that shithouse Hazard? "Almost at the level of Messi and Ronaldo"

As predicted all City's big players needed to do was get their act together for 4-5 games and it would be enough to see off our meagre "challenge" for 4th.

2-0 and that's killed it.

Chelsea should sack Mourinho.

Fantastic goal that.

De Bruyne like a young Giggs there the way he led the counter attack.
