you can hear the interviewer bricking it throughout and trying to steer him round - "but obviously you don't actually condone it do you??"

yeah, it's great hearing racist neanderthals dish out dog's abuse with no-one challenging them.

eric, eh. doubt we'll ever see his like again.

tbf, he was just doing what the anti-racism campaign at he time was asking from all of us:

I'll never love another United player like I do Eric. Absolute hero of mine, watching him play for United was something else.

Palace fans :£#%&!er: Yea, it was really Eric's fault one of their gobby @#%&! fans decided to run in front of a coach. Bitter £#%&!ers the lot of them.

What was that all about? The presenter said that they were getting a lot of e-mails from Palace fans saying that Eric's fung-fu incident led to a Palace fan dying a few months later. What was the tenuous connection??

Little more than two months later the two teams met in an FA Cup semi-final, which United won in a replay, both games at Villa Park. The Cantona affair hung over the tie and tensions soared after a Palace fan was killed in an incident outside a pub before the first game. Paul Nixon, a 35-year-old father of four, was in a group of 35 fans ambushed by United supporters. He was run over by the Palace fans' own coach after being stabbed and suffering serious head injuries when hit with a brick.
I'd forgotten he'd been stabbed as well £#%&! it, silly @#%&! shouldn't have gone round looking for a fight before a football match.
