Default Why does an FC United shirt cost £30?

I've never criticised FC before, but that's far too expensive.

Cost of manufacture, I suppose. Whatever FC make, which fans are generally happy to provide as it all goes into the club, is relatively little.

The adult shirt price 'sponsors' the price of children/infant shirts - which, if I remember correctly, are sold at a loss - so has a higher mark-up than other merchandise.

Whilst not wishing to stoke any fires the FC shirt does not have any advertising on it so in a straight race between paying 30 quid to have a shirt with no advert or 40 quid to trot around in an advert for an american insurance giant I know which I would prefer. But then that is just my opinion.

You complete idiot that insnt the choice, its between buying a Manchester United shirt or a FC shirt.

Its where your loyalty is i guess.

Would you buy a Barca shirt over a MUFC one?

It's about principles, not loyalty.

New away kit this year isn't it?

I'd buy a Leeds shirt over an MUFC one if it meant not giving the Glazers the money, of course I would rather towel flick a lion on his plums and then goad a pitbull whilst in the nip than do either so it is kind of a silly point.

The new away is the blue one; used when the referee hasn't allowed the white away strip (basically if the home team has red/white stripes - or red with white sleeves), it's not been on sale before.

The white has been relegated to being the 'emergency' strip - so blue and white have swapped places, if you like.

Thumbs up

I like them.

The red one looks a bit like the 76/77 United one MUFC.

More than a little inspired by it I think

White away is my favourite. Love the black stripe.

EDIT:

You have to have one in case of clashes.

It wasn't for sale though.
