Default Speaking of United possibly needing a creative attacking midfielder in the near future.

Seems Van Der Vaart may not be happy in Madrid and may want out in the summer. Could he be the answer to our prayers?

we would have to sacrifice some width or a striker to fit them in

Never going to happen. VDV isn't even that good enough for United.

the last thing we need is a midfielder.

especially when we have two strikers who love to play like attacking midfielders anyway.

rooney, berbs and the new midfielder all threading balls through to no one.

To be fair, when playing with Berbatov, Rooney was pushing further forward before his injury. Also I think poossibly a midfielder breaking late into the box might add summat to us as a team. A midfielder playing perhaps as giggs has recently been might also be a good thing and Ryan cannot go on forever. Just some thoughts off the top of my head.

if anything we need a striker to play at the top of our forward three. ands thats at a push because really it would mean ronaldo moving into the midfield three.

so basically we have deep lying midfielders who hold the team together (carrick, anderson, fletcher and hargreaves) -2 from 4-

then four players in a free role (ronaldo, rooney, berbs, tevez)

usually we play 3 of them and put another player in midfield (park, giggs, etc)

the last thing we need is a attacking midfielders because our three starting forwards(ronnie, rooney, berbs) all play as forwards/attacking midfielders anyway.
its honestly the last thing we need.
take modric/deco for instance. it would be a disaster.

and the other one plays as a midfield ball winner.

Still Rooney is being pushed further forward and Giggs has shown how well we can play with a more creative player in the middle of the park. I can see this happening.

All of our strikers love to play as an attacking midfielder, not just Rooney and Berbatov. That's part of the problem at times ALL of them have been too deep.

I would love us to have a serious goal threat from the centre of midfield though.

nope. we need another one. one that scores

its hilarious really that you look at our team and think 'we need an attacking midfielder'

a striker if anything.

our squad is full and almost faultless.

the current squad including tevez has everything we need. i would settle for us not even needing to sign a player until 2011.

I like VDV , rate him very highly but I don't see where we'd squeeze him in tbh.

And haven't we got a few young attacking midfielders knocking about at the mo ?

We don't need anyone

We're onto win 5 titles. It's like Koppas having Benzema in his avatar...just smacks of wanting perfection.
