To be honest, my hatred towards him went when he signed for us. I just disliked him. I'm just one of those that back players in our team/squad

But his goal v City has taken any dislike I had for him away

I never hated him either, actually just thought he was a good pro who happened to play for them. No wum.

Don't get me wrong - I was gutted when we signed him. But when it all sunk in I thought about what kind of player he is/was and realised that he's worth 10-15 goals a season. And if they help us to number 19, what can we say? Shrewd signing really.

Owen's always come across as a decent guy who keeps his head down & plays Football (& does his Horse Racing thing) - He was always gonna be Fergie's type of player.

I was amazed & dissapointed when we signed him - I was expecting a 'Box-Office' player to replace Ronnie.

It's up there with Ole's goal against the scousers in 99 or Sheasey's at Anfield 07.

I actually don't think Owen will play much part tomorrow...It's too 'obvious' to expect him to grab a late winner in front of the Kop (even for United & all our Fairytale moments)
...but I do think Owen will get another key goal or 2 before the season's out.

Owen loves the club that pays his wages...so if he scores, he will celebrate....

if he plays, its likely to be the last 20 minutes with United playing towards the United end...so he'll run to the fans and it'll be a group hug with the fans at the front and any players joining in the scrum.

and if its the winner...the scousers will be too stunned to boo

im pretty chilled tbh...if we were at home, id be more nervous......as long as we dont sit back too much and put them under a bit of pressure, we'll be reet.....
