Quote:
The United States midfielder Maurice Edu has claimed he was racially abused by Rangers fans after last night's Champions League defeat by Unirea Urziceni.

Edu, 23, who played no part in the 4-1 Group G defeat but watched the match at Ibrox, says he was targeted by his own club's supporters as he left the stadium.

Edu wrote via Twitter: "Not sure what hurt more: result last nite or being racially abused by couple of r own fans as I'm getting in my car."

Edu joined Rangers for £2.6m from Toronto FC in August 2008, and complained of racist abuse soon after signing, suggesting that Celtic fans had sent him offensive messages via Twitter.

Edu wrote: "It's sad n embarrassing that people follow me so they can write racist comments. SMH [shaking my head]. It's '09, people, let's grow up n mature a lil bit."

Was under the impression the team theu played were the weakest in the group stages, nailed on they would win, apparently!

So much for the argument to let them into the PL or Championship.

Not sure. Just think it's bad form to racially abuse your own players tbh. Nothing suprises me with those people though. They are a lower class of human.

Wouldn't want either of them anywhere near the premier league.
