I agree.

I always feel the need to qualify what I say: I'm genuinely pleased with the direction we're going in. We're progressing, we're playing some great stuff and, at the moment, we're about as good as anyone.

We should have more points and we should be closer to the top than what we are.

The concern comes from the consistency of the teams above us and the sheer number of draws in such a short spell. In any season where you come up short, there's usually a point in the season where it goes wrong and you look back on that spell as the moment that cost you.

Last season, it was Christmas. I suspect we'll be looking back in May at the Stoke, Burnley, Arsenal and West ham games as costly dropped points.

But we're giving ourselves a chance now and I'm really enjoying watching us again. We're on the up.

Giroud had a foot on the ground, not as good as Mkhi's imo.
